AI agents and MCP

Schedule social media posts with AI agents

Postprismโ€™s MCP server lets AI agents schedule social media posts for you. Connect Claude, ChatGPT, Cursor, Gemini CLI or another MCP client, sign in with your Postprism account and ask in plain language. The agent drafts, schedules, edits and reports on posts for six networks, and every post lands on your Postprism calendar.

How to schedule social media posts with an AI agent

Four steps from an empty chat to posts on your calendar. Each assistant has its own setup guide.

  1. 01
    Connect your networks

Connect LinkedIn, X, TikTok, YouTube, Bluesky and Pinterest on the Platforms page in Postprism. Your agent posts to the accounts you connect there.

  2. 02
    Add Postprism to your assistant

Add the Postprism MCP server to Claude, ChatGPT, Cursor, Gemini CLI or another MCP client, then sign in with your Postprism account in the browser tab that opens. No API key to paste.

  3. 03
    Ask in plain language

โ€œDraft three LinkedIn posts from this article for next week.โ€ The agent checks your connected accounts and creates each post with its own version per network.

  4. 04
    Review on your calendar

Posts without a date wait as drafts for you to edit and schedule. Ask the agent to schedule and Postprism publishes them at the time you gave.

What AI agents can do in Postprism

The Postprism MCP server gives your assistant 11 tools for posts, media, analytics, platforms and workspaces.

Create, edit and delete posts

create_post, update_post and delete_post work with a base post plus a version per network, so the X post stays short while the LinkedIn post tells the full story.

Drafts or scheduled, your call

A post created without a date is saved as a draft. Give the agent a date and time and the post is scheduled, then Postprism publishes it on time.

Upload images and video

upload_media takes JPEG, PNG, GIF and WebP images and MP4 or MOV video, and returns a link the agent attaches to the post.

Up to 10 MB per file

Read your analytics

get_analytics and get_post_analytics return views, likes, comments and shares per post and network, so the agent can say what worked before it plans more.

Six networks and their settings

list_platforms shows the accounts connected in a workspace. The agent can also set network options, such as a YouTube title and privacy or a Pinterest board and link.

Every workspace, with roles

list_workspaces lets one assistant work across every brand or client you belong to. Your workspace role still applies, so a Viewer can read posts but not change them.

Facts checked in Postprism on

Who schedules social media with AI agents

Anyone who already plans in Claude, ChatGPT or an editor like Cursor can hand the scheduling to the same assistant.

Solo founders

Turn a changelog, a blog post or a launch note into a week of posts from the chat you already have open, then check them on your calendar.

Freelancers

Ask one assistant to draft each clientโ€™s posts in that clientโ€™s workspace, and review the drafts before anything is scheduled.

Agencies

Pull results for every client with get_analytics, plan the next round, and keep Viewers read-only while the team schedules.

Pick your AI agent and set it up

Each guide has the exact setup steps, prompts that work and the limits to know. Setup takes a few minutes and no code.

Claude

Add Postprism to Claude Desktop with one config snippet and sign in.

Claude Code

One terminal command, then draft posts from your repo, changelog or docs.

ChatGPT

Add Postprism as a custom connector, where your ChatGPT plan allows it.

Cursor

Announce what you just shipped without leaving your editor.

Gemini CLI

Add the server to your Gemini CLI settings and schedule from the terminal.

n8n

Build workflows and AI agents in n8n on the REST API, on Freelancer and Agency.

You ask

Check which autumn menu post did best, then schedule follow-ups for next week on LinkedIn, Bluesky and X at 9:30 AM.

Postprism tools it uses
  • get_analyticsList analytics records, filtered by post or platform.
  • list_platformsThe social accounts connected to a workspace.
  • create_postCreate a post from base content, target platforms and optional per-platform versions. Without a date it is saved as a draft; with scheduled_at it is scheduled.
