Prefer the 2:3 standard pin
Tall 1000 × 1500 pins take up more vertical room in the feed and tend to outperform square ones. Reach for the standard pin unless you have a specific reason not to.
Start from your highest-res original
Scaling a large source down keeps your pin sharp. Use the original file rather than an image that was already exported or compressed once.
Center your subject before uploading
This tool center-crops outward from the middle. Position the focal point of your pin in the center of the original so it stays framed after the crop.
Keep text overlays away from the edges
