Pro Tips
Always start from your highest-res original
Resizing down from a large source image always looks better than resizing up. Use your original uncompressed file, not a previously exported or compressed version.
Center your subject before uploading
The tool uses center-crop — it fills the target frame from the middle of your image outward. Position your main subject in the center of the original to ensure it stays in frame after cropping.
Check safe zones after resizing
After resizing for Instagram Stories or TikTok covers, use the Safe Zone Checker to confirm UI overlays (captions, buttons) won't obscure your content.
Use PNG for graphics, JPEG for photos
The tool preserves your input format — PNG stays PNG, JPEG stays JPEG. Upload PNG for logos and text graphics to avoid compression artifacts. Use JPEG for photography for smaller file sizes.
Use Feed Square (1:1) for Instagram grids
The 1080×1080 square is the safest Instagram format — it displays consistently on the profile grid, feed, and explore tab without any cropping.
Compress after resizing for faster uploads
