Can n8n post to social media through Postprism? Yes. n8n calls the Postprism REST API with an HTTP Request node and an API key, so any workflow can create drafts or scheduled posts for 6 networks. Common setups turn a new blog post, a form entry or a spreadsheet row into a post that waits for review on the Postprism calendar.
In Postprism, open the Developer page from the sidebar and choose Generate API key. Name it (for example “n8n”) and copy it. It starts with pp_live_ and is shown only once.
Create a Header Auth credential with the name Authorization and the value Bearer followed by your key.
Authorization: Bearer pp_live_…Method POST, URL below, authentication Header Auth with your credential, body JSON. Give each platform its own text in platform_content; that is what gets published. Leave out scheduled_at to create a draft.

{
"base_content": "{{ $json.title }}: {{ $json.link }}",
"platforms": ["linkedin", "twitter"],
"platform_content": {
"linkedin": { "content": "New on the blog: {{ $json.title }} {{ $json.link }}" },
"twitter": { "content": "{{ $json.title }} {{ $json.link }}" }
},
"scheduled_at": "2026-10-16T09:30:00Z"
}Run the node once. A 201 response returns the new post, and it appears on your Postprism calendar. Then activate the workflow.
Workflow: RSS Feed Trigger (our blog) → OpenAI node writes a LinkedIn and an X version → HTTP Request creates a Postprism draft.
Every new article becomes a draft with both versions on the Postprism calendar the morning it is published. The marketer reviews it and schedules it with one click.
In the walkthrough, the marketer writes one post herself, then asks Claude to plan the follow-ups. They land on the same calendar.
Copy these and change the details for your brand.
RSS Feed Trigger → HTTP Request (create draft for LinkedIn, X and Bluesky).
Typeform or Tally submission (customer win) → AI node writes a post → Postprism draft for LinkedIn.
Google Sheets trigger (new row with copy, platforms, date) → HTTP Request with scheduled_at.
Schedule Trigger (Monday) → GET /api/v1/analytics → summarise → send to Slack.

Leave scheduled_at out of automated workflows until you trust them. Drafts wait on the calendar for a person to schedule.
Send a version per network in platform_content (for example a short X post and a longer LinkedIn post) instead of the same text everywhere.
