Can Claude post to social media? Yes. Add the Postprism MCP server to Claude Desktop and Claude can create, schedule and analyse posts for X, Bluesky, LinkedIn, TikTok, YouTube and Pinterest. Setup takes about two minutes, and every post Claude creates appears on your Postprism calendar for review.
In Claude Desktop, open Settings > Developer > Edit Config. On macOS the file is at ~/Library/Application Support/Claude/claude_desktop_config.json; on Windows it is in %APPDATA%\Claude.
Add the postprism entry under mcpServers. If the file already lists other servers, add it next to them.

}Quit and reopen Claude. A browser tab opens to sign in to Postprism and approve access. Once approved, the Postprism tools appear in Claude’s tools menu.
Ask “Which social accounts are connected in Postprism?” Claude calls list_platforms and lists them. If it can’t find the tools, restart Claude once more.
Here’s our launch announcement. Draft a LinkedIn post, an X post and a Bluesky post from it, and save them as drafts for Tuesday at 9:30 AM.
Claude calls create_post with a version for each platform and no publish date, so three drafts appear on Tuesday in your Postprism calendar. You open them, tweak the LinkedIn hook, and schedule.
In the walkthrough, the marketer writes one post herself, then asks Claude to plan the follow-ups. They land on the same calendar.
Copy these and change the details for your brand.
Plan next week’s posts for LinkedIn and X around our autumn menu. One post per weekday, saved as drafts at 9:30 AM.
Turn this blog post into a LinkedIn post, an X post under 280 characters and a Bluesky post. Save them as one draft.
List my scheduled posts for the next 14 days and tell me which days have nothing going out on LinkedIn.
Move every post scheduled for Friday to Monday at the same time.
Using get_analytics, which five posts from last month had the most engagement, and what do they have in common?
List my workspaces, then show the drafts waiting in the Juniper Roasters workspace.
| list_posts | List posts in a workspace, filtered by status (draft, scheduled, published). |
| create_post | Create a post from base content, target platforms and optional per-platform versions. Without a date it is saved as a draft; with scheduled_at it is scheduled. |
| get_post | Read a single post by ID. |
| update_post | Change a post: copy, per-platform versions, media or the scheduled time. |
| delete_post | Delete a post by ID. |
| upload_media | Upload an image or video (JPEG, PNG, GIF, WebP, MP4, MOV, up to 10 MB) and get a URL to attach to a post. |
| get_analytics | List analytics records, filtered by post or platform. |
| get_post_analytics | Every analytics record for one post. |
| list_platforms | The social accounts connected to a workspace. |
| list_workspaces | Every workspace you belong to, so one agent can act for several brands. |
| get_workspace_info | The current workspace name and plan. |
Say “save as drafts” until you trust the output. Drafts never publish on their own.
Paste two or three of your best posts at the start of a chat, or keep them in a Claude Project, so every draft sounds like you.
If you manage several brands, keep one Claude Project per client with its tone notes, and pass the matching workspace_id.
