Best Planable Alternatives in 2026: 8 Tools Compared

What's the best Planable alternative? Postprism is the best Planable alternative in 2026: it publishes to 6 networks with a native version of every post, unlimited posts on every plan, and a flat price of $19 a month for one brand, $49 for three brands with approvals and $99 for ten, where Planable charges $33 to $59 per workspace a month and caps posts at 60 or 150 per workspace. Loomly suits in-house brand teams that want approvals plus an inbox, SocialPilot suits budget agencies that need client approval, Sendible suits agencies that want unlimited users and branded reports, Agorapulse suits inbox-heavy teams, Vista Social suits teams that also manage reviews, and Hootsuite and Sprout Social suit large organisations with listening and governance needs.

Planable earned its following by making review easy. Clients can comment on a post from a shared link without creating an account, approvals range from optional to required to multi-level, and its feed view shows posts as they will look on each network. People start looking for a Planable alternative for practical reasons: every brand is another workspace fee, posts are capped per workspace each month, analytics is a paid add-on below Enterprise, and its MCP connector creates drafts rather than scheduled posts. If you are weighing only the two products, our head-to-head page, Postprism vs Planable, covers that comparison in detail. This guide looks wider, ranking eight tools on cost per brand, post limits, approvals, AI writing and agent access, with every competitor price checked on the vendor's own page in October 2026.

Why Postprism is the Planable alternative to pick

  • Flat pricing with unlimited posts. Solo is $19 a month ($14 billed yearly), Freelancer $49 and Agency $99, and every plan has unlimited posts. A workspace connects one account per network, so one brand on all 6 networks is $19, three brands are $49 and ten are $99. There is no monthly post cap to plan around. See pricing.
  • Approvals without a per-workspace fee. Freelancer and Agency include an approval step: Editors submit, and an Owner or Admin approves or requests changes with a note. Roles are Owner, Admin, Editor and read-only Viewer. See approval workflow.
  • A native version for every network in one request. Write once, click Enhance with AI, and Postprism returns a separate, editable version for every network you selected. Plans include 150, 500 or 2,000 AI adaptations a month. See AI content adaptation.
  • An AI agent that schedules, on every plan. Postprism's hosted MCP server gives Claude, ChatGPT, Cursor and other MCP clients 11 tools to list workspaces, upload media, create and schedule posts and read analytics. See AI agents.

Key findings

  • Planable charges per workspace. Planable's pricing page lists Basic at $33 per workspace a month billed yearly ($39 monthly) and Pro at $49 ($59 monthly). Enterprise is custom, and the page invites teams with more than 5 workspaces to ask about a volume discount.
  • Posts are capped below Enterprise. Basic allows 60 posts per workspace a month and 4 social pages; Pro allows 150 posts and 10 social pages. Basic also publishes only 1 X post every 24 hours.
  • Analytics and inbox are add-ons. On Basic and Pro, analytics and the social inbox are paid per-workspace add-ons; Enterprise includes them.
  • Planable's agent access stops at drafts. Planable's MCP guide says the connector is on all paid plans and "creates drafts, not published posts". Its public API is on Pro and Enterprise.
  • Per-seat suites cost the most. Hootsuite starts at $99 per user a month billed annually, Sprout Social at $79 per seat a month billed annually and Agorapulse at $79 per user a month billed annually.
  • Postprism stays at $19 for one brand on any or all of its 6 networks, and moves to $49 or $99 only when you add brands, client workspaces or team members.

What Planable costs at 1, 3, 5 and 10 brands, against Postprism and the rest

Per-workspace, per-profile, per-seat and flat pricing behave very differently as an agency or brand team grows. The table assumes each brand has 5 social profiles, one person does the scheduling, and you take the lowest plan on each vendor's page that covers that many brands or profiles. Planable and Loomly figures are the yearly-billed price per month, because that is the headline on their pages; the rest are monthly list prices unless marked. All competitor prices were checked October 2026 and link to the vendor's pricing page.

Where Planable is the better deal, plainly: Planable gives every new account its first 50 posts free with no time limit, which is enough to run a small pilot before paying. Its plans also include unlimited users, so a large team of reviewers costs the same as a team of two. Those are real advantages if you post rarely and have many people commenting. Once you publish more than 60 or 150 posts a month per brand, or run more than one brand, the per-workspace fee and the post cap add up quickly: three brands on Pro cost $147 a month billed yearly, against $49 on Postprism Freelancer with approvals and unlimited posts. At ten brands the gap is $490 against $99. Planable's analytics and social inbox add-ons are priced per workspace on top of that; its pricing page lists them in two places with slightly different figures, so check the current rate before you budget.

Agorapulse's extra profile price is shown on its pricing page as $10 or $15 a month depending on billing, which is why the table lists the number of extra profiles rather than a total. Hootsuite and Sprout Social prices are per user or seat, so multiply by your team size.

How we ranked these Planable alternatives

Every tool was judged on the same five questions, using each vendor's own pricing and feature pages in October 2026. We weighted the first two most heavily, because they are why people leave Planable.

What Planable does well, and where it gets harder

Before the list, it is worth being clear about Planable's strengths, because they are real and they shape what a good replacement needs to offer.

  • Review without accounts. Planable's features page says occasional approvers do not need an account to view posts and comment, and reviewers can leave annotations and text suggestions.
  • Flexible approvals. The pricing page lists optional approvals on Basic, optional or required on Pro, and multi-level approvals on Enterprise.
  • Unlimited users. Every plan includes unlimited users, so the whole client side can join without seat costs.
  • Feed-style previews. Planable shows posts in feed, calendar, grid and list views, with the grid from Pro and the list view on Enterprise.
  • AI writing. It generates captions from prompts or from images and videos, rewrites text, suggests hashtags and suggests posts based on your previous posts.
  • Networks. Planable schedules to Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, X, YouTube, TikTok, Pinterest, Google Business Profile and Threads.

Where it gets harder is the shape of the bill and the volume ceiling. Each brand is a workspace with its own fee, posts are capped per workspace each month, analytics and the inbox are paid add-ons on Basic and Pro, X publishing on Basic is limited to one post every 24 hours, and Bluesky is not on its network list. The tools below fill those gaps in different ways.

1. Postprism: For anyone who publishes often to many networks at a flat price

Postprism is a social media scheduler that publishes to X, LinkedIn, TikTok, YouTube, Bluesky and Pinterest from one calendar. Its idea is simple: write once, publish natively on every platform, and let your AI agent run it via MCP if you want. Each post holds a separate, editable version for every network you pick, and there is no monthly post cap on any plan. For the direct comparison, read Postprism vs Planable.

Why Planable users pick it

  • Approvals that fit agency work. On Freelancer and Agency, each client gets a workspace. Editors submit posts, and an Owner or Admin approves them or requests changes with a note; submitters track their posts under My submissions. Clients can join their own workspace as a read-only Viewer or as an Admin who approves. See team collaboration.
  • Enhance with AI. One click returns a version of your post for every selected network, shaped to each one's length and style, using your saved brand identity (name, industry, tone, values, audience and key messages). Anything over a network's limit turns red so you can edit it.
  • Calendar and kanban. Month, week and day views with a platform filter, a kanban board with Drafts, Scheduled and Published columns, and a Generate content plan button that builds a 4-week plan.
  • Analytics included. Impressions, reach, clicks, engagement rate and top posts over 30, 60 or 90 days, on every plan, with CSV export on Agency. See analytics.
  • Agents that schedule. The hosted MCP server's 11 tools cover posts, media, analytics, platforms and workspaces, so an agent can pick the right client workspace, upload a photo, schedule the post and report back. Posts an agent creates without a date wait as drafts on your calendar for review.
  • Bulk Upload on every plan. A CSV with content, scheduled_at and an optional media_url, up to 200 rows and 2 MB per file. See bulk scheduling.

Choose Postprism if you publish more than Planable's caps allow, run several brands and want one flat price instead of a fee per workspace, want analytics included, or want an AI agent to schedule into a calendar your team reviews. Start a 7-day free trial.

2. Loomly: For in-house brand teams that want approvals plus an inbox

Loomly's pricing page (checked October 2026) lists Starter at $49 a month billed yearly ($588 a year) or $65 billed monthly, with 3 users and 12 social accounts, and Beyond at $249 a month billed yearly ($2,988 a year) or $332 monthly, with unlimited users and 60 social accounts. Enterprise is custom, for 61 accounts and up. The page offers a free trial without stating its length.

  • Approvals and bulk: approval workflows and bulk posting are included on Starter and Beyond.
  • AI: an AI Assistant chat, post generation, reply with AI and AI analytics on both plans, with limited usage on Starter and extended usage on Beyond.
  • Inbox and reports: replying to interactions, saved replies and assigned conversations on both plans; report export on both, and scheduled reports on Beyond.
  • Agents: the pricing page lists Zapier but no MCP server or public API.

Choose Loomly if you are one in-house brand that wants approvals, an inbox and scheduled reports in one tool, and Starter's 12 accounts are enough. The jump from Starter to Beyond is steep, so an agency adding a second or third brand usually pays $249 a month billed yearly. See our Loomly alternative page.

3. SocialPilot: For budget agencies that need client approval

SocialPilot's plans page (checked October 2026) lists four plans, each with a 14-day free trial and 15% off when billed yearly:

PlanMonthlyBilled yearlyAccountsUsersAI credits
Essentials$30$25.50/month71500
Standard$50$42.50/month1531,000
Premium$100$85/month2565,000
Ultimate$200$170/month50UnlimitedUnlimited
  • Extras: extra accounts are $4 a month each, and extra users $5 from Standard.
  • Approvals: manager approval from Standard; client approval, unlimited client seats and white-label reports from Premium.
  • Bulk: bulk scheduling and CSV uploads start at Premium.
  • Agents: the feature table lists MCP Server Integration; API access is on Enterprise.

Choose SocialPilot if you run an agency with many accounts and want client approval and white-label reports. Client approval sits on the $100 Premium plan, the same tier where bulk upload starts. See our SocialPilot alternative page.

4. Sendible: For agencies that want unlimited users and branded reports

Sendible's pricing page (checked October 2026) prices by workspace, with 6 social profiles per workspace and unlimited users on every plan:

PlanMonthlyBilled yearlyWorkspacesProfiles
Core$35$29.75/month16
Plus$99$84.15/month318

Enterprise$750$637.50/month50300
  • Approvals: the plan summary places assignment and approvals on Plus.
  • AI and bulk: unlimited AI credits and a bulk CSV scheduler.
  • Reports and white label: custom reports from Premium (2 per workspace), and white label as a paid add-on on Elite and Enterprise.
  • Limits: a daily send limit per workspace of 100 on Core, rising to 500 on Elite and Enterprise.
  • Networks: Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, X, LinkedIn, Google Business Profile, YouTube, WordPress, Threads and Bluesky.

Choose Sendible if you want Planable's unlimited-users model with an inbox and branded client reports, and the workspace pricing fits your client count. See our Sendible alternative page.

5. Agorapulse: For inbox-heavy teams

Agorapulse's pricing page (checked October 2026) lists Standard at $79 per user a month billed annually ($99 monthly), Professional at $119 ($149) and Advanced at $149 ($199), each with 10 social profiles. Custom has tailored pricing and unlimited profiles. Every plan has a 30-day trial.

  • Inbox: every plan includes an all-in-one inbox, with bulk inbox management on Advanced.
  • Approvals: simple approval workflows from Professional; multi-step approvals on Custom.
  • Bulk: bulk scheduling of up to 200 posts from a CSV on Advanced.
  • Agents: MCP is listed on every plan; the reports open API is on Custom.
  • Networks: Facebook, Instagram, Threads, X, LinkedIn, YouTube, Pinterest, Google Business, TikTok, Bluesky and Reddit.

Choose Agorapulse if replying to comments and DMs is as important as publishing, and per-user pricing suits a small team. A two-person team on Professional is $238 a month billed annually. See our Agorapulse alternative page.

6. Vista Social: For teams that also manage reviews

Vista Social's pricing page (checked October 2026) lists Professional at $99 a month ($950 billed yearly) with 15 social profiles, Advanced at $199 ($1,910 yearly) with 30 profiles and Scale at $449 ($4,310 yearly) with 70 profiles. Each has a 14-day free trial.

  • AI: 1,000, 2,000 or 3,500 AI credits a month by plan.
  • Approvals: approval stages on Professional, workflows for internal teams and clients on Advanced, and multi-stage approvals listed on Scale.
  • Inbox and reviews: a social inbox on every plan, with review monitoring for Facebook and Google Business on Professional and Yelp, TripAdvisor, Trustpilot and more from Advanced.
  • X: X integration is a $29 a month add-on on every plan.
  • Agents: Vista Social's MCP page lists a server with 50+ tools on Advanced and higher.
  • Networks: Facebook, LinkedIn, Instagram, X, Google Business, YouTube, TikTok, Reddit, Pinterest, Snapchat, Tumblr, Threads and Bluesky.

Choose Vista Social if you run local or multi-location brands where review replies matter as much as posts. The page lists 2 to 4 users by plan in its table, and its FAQ gives higher figures, so confirm seats before buying. See our Vista Social alternative page.

7. Hootsuite: For large teams that need listening and an inbox

Hootsuite's plans page (checked October 2026) starts at $99 for Standard and $199 for Professional, up to $399 for Advanced, priced per user a month based on annual billing. Standard manages up to 10 social accounts; Professional and Advanced cover unlimited accounts. Each plan has a 14-day free trial, though bulk scheduling is not available during the trial.

  • Approvals: content review and approval with your team is part of Advanced.
  • Inbox: Standard answers messages from one inbox, Professional automates inbox replies, and Advanced assigns and auto-routes messages.

Choose Hootsuite if customer care, listening and governance matter as much as publishing, and the budget is per seat. Approvals on Advanced mean a higher price than Planable Pro for one brand. Compare it with Postprism on our Hootsuite alternative page.

8. Sprout Social: For enterprise social teams

Sprout Social's pricing page (checked October 2026) lists Essentials at $79 per seat a month billed annually ($99 billed monthly) with 5 social profiles, Standard at $199 per seat with 5 profiles, Professional at $299 with unlimited profiles and Advanced at $399 with unlimited profiles. The free trial runs 30 days.

  • AI: Trellis, Sprout's AI agent, with 100 AI agent credits per seat a month.
  • Inbox: a consolidated inbox from Standard, and a Smart Inbox with sentiment on Advanced.
  • API and listening: the Sprout API and Helpdesk integrations are on Advanced; listening and premium analytics are add-ons from Standard. The pricing page does not list an MCP server.

Choose Sprout Social if you are a larger company that needs governance, reporting and listening, and seat pricing fits the budget. A three-person team on Professional is $897 a month billed annually. See our Sprout Social alternative page.

How to choose a Planable alternative

Start from how many brands you run, how much you publish and how review works today, not from a feature list. Five questions settle most decisions.

  1. How many brands or clients will you have in 12 months? Per-workspace pricing looks fine at one brand and expensive at ten. Price your real count in each tool.
  2. How many posts does each brand publish a month? Count every network version. A brand posting daily to five networks can pass 150 posts a month, which is over Planable Pro's cap.
  3. How does review work? If one manager or client signs off, a single approval step is enough. If legal and three stakeholders must each approve, you need multi-level approvals and should check which plan includes them.
  4. Do you want each network to get its own post? A tool that creates a version per network in one step saves the most time when you publish to five or more networks.
  5. Will an AI agent do part of the work? Decide whether the agent only drafts or also schedules, then check where MCP sits on each tool's plans and what it is allowed to do.

Why people switch from Planable

Every brand is another workspace fee

Planable's per-workspace model is easy to understand, and at one brand it is fair. It becomes the reason agencies leave once they take on a third or fifth client: three brands on Pro cost $147 a month billed yearly, five cost $245, and the analytics add-on is priced per workspace on top. On Postprism, three brands with approvals are $49 and ten are $99.

Post caps shape the content plan

Basic allows 60 posts per workspace a month and Pro 150. A brand that posts once a day to five networks needs about 150 posts a month, so a busy month pushes it toward Enterprise. Every Postprism plan has unlimited posts, so the plan is set by your strategy, not your quota.

Analytics costs extra

On Basic and Pro, analytics is an add-on for each workspace. Postprism includes impressions, reach, clicks, engagement rate and top posts over 30, 60 or 90 days on every plan, with CSV export on Agency.

Agents that stop at drafts

Planable's MCP connector can read, comment on and approve posts and create drafts, which suits a review-first team. Postprism's MCP server goes further on every plan: it can upload media, create and schedule posts in any workspace and read analytics, while posts without a date still wait as drafts for review. Our guide to the best schedulers for AI agents compares this across the market.

X limits and missing Bluesky

Planable Basic publishes 1 X post every 24 hours, and its network list does not include Bluesky. Postprism publishes to X with up to 4 images and to Bluesky on every plan.

A worked example: an agency with five clients

Consider Northlight Studio, a fictional three-person agency. It runs five client brands, each on LinkedIn, X, TikTok, YouTube and Pinterest, and posts about once a weekday per network, so each brand needs roughly 110 posts a month. Every client approves posts before they go out.

  • Planable Basic: 5 workspaces at $33 is $165 a month billed yearly, but Basic's 60-post cap and 1 X post a day do not cover this volume.
  • Planable Pro: 5 workspaces at $49 is $245 a month billed yearly ($295 monthly), within the 150-post cap, with analytics extra per workspace.
  • Postprism Agency: $99 a month ($75 billed yearly), with a workspace per client, up to 10 members, the approval step, analytics, unlimited posts and five spare workspaces for new clients.

The saving is clear, but the bigger change is the work. Instead of writing a caption and adjusting it for each network, the team writes once, clicks Enhance with AI and gets a TikTok caption, a LinkedIn post, a short X post and a Pinterest description, each ready to edit before it goes to the client for approval.

How to switch from Planable to Postprism

A clean switch takes an afternoon per brand. Keep two weeks scheduled in Planable while you set up, so nothing goes quiet during the move.

  1. List what is scheduled. Open the list or calendar view in each Planable workspace and copy the next four weeks of posts into a spreadsheet with three columns: content, scheduled_at and, where a post has an image or video, media_url.
  2. Start the trial and create workspaces. Sign up, then create one Postprism workspace for each Planable workspace before connecting anything.
  3. Connect your networks. Connect X, LinkedIn, TikTok, YouTube, Bluesky and Pinterest accounts in each workspace.
  4. Set up your brand identity. Add each brand's industry, tone, values, audience and key messages so Enhance with AI writes in that brand's voice.
  5. Bulk Upload the CSV. Save each spreadsheet as CSV (up to 200 rows and 2 MB per file, on every plan), choose the platforms for the upload and check the preview. For XLSX or JSON, or files in Google Drive or Dropbox, use the AI Scheduling Assistant instead.
  6. Invite your team and turn on approvals. Invite colleagues as Admins or Editors, and clients as read-only Viewers or as Admins who approve. Posts from Editors then wait for an Owner or Admin.
  7. Reconnect your agents. If Claude or ChatGPT worked with Planable, connect them to Postprism's MCP server and ask for one week of drafts to test.
  8. Pause, then cancel. Stop scheduling new posts in Planable before your first Postprism post goes out, then cancel once a full week has published.

Common mistakes when leaving Planable

  1. Comparing one workspace only. Price your real brand count and monthly post volume in 12 months.
  2. Forgetting who approves. Map every reviewer to a role before the move so approvals keep working on day one.
  3. Running two schedules. Stop the old schedule the day the new one starts, or posts go out twice.
  4. Sending one caption everywhere. A switch is the moment to give each network its own version; our post on whether cross-posting hurts reach explains why it matters.
  5. Letting an agent publish unreviewed. Have agents create drafts first, then review them on the calendar.

The verdict

Planable is a thoughtful review tool, and its link-based client comments and unlimited users are genuinely useful. Once you run more than one brand, publish more than 60 or 150 posts a month per brand, or want analytics and agent scheduling without add-ons, Postprism is the best Planable alternative: $19 a month flat for one brand on 6 networks, unlimited posts, a native version of every post from one click of Enhance with AI, an MCP server on every plan, and client workspaces with approvals from $49. Choose Loomly for an in-house brand that wants an inbox, SocialPilot or Sendible for agency suites, Agorapulse for inbox-heavy teams, Vista Social for review management, and Hootsuite or Sprout Social for enterprise listening. Frequently Asked Questions

What is the best Planable alternative in 2026?

Postprism is the best Planable alternative for most people in 2026. It publishes to 6 networks with a separate version of every post, has unlimited posts on every plan, and costs $19 a month for one brand, $49 for three brands with approvals and $99 for ten, where Planable charges $33 to $59 per workspace a month with 60 or 150 posts each.

Does Planable have an MCP server?
