Definition: A Company Page is the official presence of an organisation on a social network, such as a LinkedIn Page or a Facebook Page, run by admins on the organisation’s behalf rather than by one person’s profile.
Also called: LinkedIn Page, business page, Facebook Page, brand page

A personal profile belongs to a person: people connect with it or follow it, and it posts in that person’s name. A Page belongs to the organisation: people follow it, it posts in the organisation’s name, and several admins can run it without sharing a password. Businesses usually use both: the Page is the brand’s official voice, and people on the team post in their own names.
Most networks have a version: LinkedIn has Pages, Facebook has Pages, and other networks offer business or creator accounts with a similar role.
Per LinkedIn’s help centre, a Company Page represents an organisation on LinkedIn. A Showcase Page represents a brand, business unit or initiative for a specific audience, and Career Pages, which show culture and open roles, need a paid licence and an existing Company or University Page. The table lists the main types.
LinkedIn says you can create a Page for free, but you need a LinkedIn account and must confirm you have the right to act on behalf of the company. As of October 2026, creating a Page is supported on desktop and iOS, not on Android. Once it exists, assign admins so the Page does not depend on one person.
Treat the Page like any channel: post on a regular schedule, use the formats the network favours (images, video, documents), and measure followers, reach and engagement rate. Postprism publishes text, a single image or a video to a LinkedIn Company Page as well as to personal profiles, so the brand account and the founder’s profile can be planned in one calendar.
| Page type | What it is for |
|---|---|
| Company Page | Represents an organisation; free, with posts and analytics |
| Showcase Page | A brand, business unit or initiative for a specific audience |
| Career Page | Culture and open roles; needs a paid licence |
| Service Page | Makes your services easier to find; members can request a proposal |
| Product Page | Shows the products a company offers |
| University Page | A school and its alumni |
A 12-person agency runs a LinkedIn Company Page for case studies and hiring news, while the founder posts opinions from her personal profile. Both are scheduled a week ahead: the Page twice a week, the founder three times, with each post written for its own audience.
Employee advocacy is when a company’s staff share its news, content and their own expertise on their personal social media accounts, so the brand reaches their networks through people those networks already trust.
A pinned post is a post you fix to the top of your profile or page so it stays above your newer posts and is the first thing visitors see.
A dark post is a sponsored post that is shown only to the audience an advertiser targets and never appears as a regular post on the brand’s own page or profile.
Follower growth rate is the percentage change in an account’s follower count over a set period, usually a month, measured against the count at the start of that period.
Brand voice is the consistent personality a brand shows in its writing, such as friendly, expert or playful, so that its posts sound like the same company on every platform.
