Definition: A social media approval workflow is the set of review steps a post must pass, such as a manager or client sign-off, before it can be scheduled or published.
Also called: Content approval process, Post approval

An approval step catches typos, wrong links, off-brand wording and posts that should not go out (a launch date that moved, a sensitive news day). It also leaves a record of who signed off, which matters for agencies and regulated industries.
Every extra step adds a delay, and time-sensitive posts lose value while they wait. Most teams do well with one reviewer who has final say, plus clear notes when a post is sent back. Give reviewers a deadline (for example, everything for next week approved by Thursday) so the calendar does not stall.
In Postprism, approvals are available on the Freelancer and Agency plans: Owners and Admins approve or request changes with a note, writers track their posts under My submissions, and Viewers have read-only access, which suits clients who only need to see the plan.
An agency writer drafts five LinkedIn posts for a client on Monday and submits them. On Tuesday the account lead approves four and sends one back with the note “use the new pricing”. The writer fixes it, resubmits, and all five are scheduled by Wednesday.
A content calendar is a shared schedule of what will be posted, on which platforms and at what time, usually planned weeks ahead.
A social media scheduler is software that lets you write posts in advance and publishes them automatically to your social accounts at the times you choose.
Brand voice is the consistent personality a brand shows in its writing, such as friendly, expert or playful, so that its posts sound like the same company on every platform.
Batch content creation is producing many social media posts in one focused session, such as a week or a month at a time, instead of writing each post on the day it goes out.
Write once, tailor each version yourself or with optional AI, and schedule to 6 networks from one calendar.
