Sendible vs Hootsuite, in short: which should you choose? Choose Sendible if you are an agency or multi-location brand that wants unlimited users, client dashboards, white label and branded reports emailed to clients, at a price set by workspace (from $35 a month). Choose Hootsuite if you are an in-house social team that needs social listening, ads management, a deep shared inbox and iOS and Android apps, and can pay per user (from $99 a user a month, billed annually). If your main job is writing and publishing one brand, or a handful of brands, across many networks, Postprism is the better fit than either: all 6 networks for one brand for $19 a month flat, approvals from $49, and a version of every post for each network from one AI request.
Sendible and Hootsuite both sit in the "social media management" tier above simple schedulers. Both publish to the major networks, both have an inbox, both have AI writing help and both report on performance. Here is an honest comparison: they are built for different buyers, and the way each one charges tells you who. Sendible charges per workspace and gives every plan unlimited users, which suits agencies that invite clients and freelancers. Hootsuite charges per user and packs listening, ads and customer care into every seat, which suits brands with a dedicated social team. This guide compares the two on price, publishing, AI, analytics, approvals, inbox and agent access, using each vendor's own pages checked in October 2026, and then shows where Postprism fits for teams that mostly plan and publish.
Key findings
- Different pricing models. Sendible's pricing page sells plans by workspace (6 social profiles each) with unlimited users on every plan, from $35 a month. Hootsuite's plans page sells seats, from $99 per user a month billed annually.
- Sendible is cheaper for almost every team. Three brands with approvals cost $99 a month on Sendible Plus. Three people with approvals cost $1,197 a month on Hootsuite Advanced.
- Approvals sit on different tiers. Sendible lists assignment and approvals on Plus ($99). Hootsuite lists post approval workflows on Advanced only ($399 per user).
- Hootsuite goes deeper on listening, ads and the inbox. Every Hootsuite plan includes a centralised inbox, Quick Search listening, competitor benchmarking and ads publishing for Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn and X.
- Sendible goes deeper on agency reporting. Custom branded reports, PDF export and automatically emailed reports start on Premium ($199), with white label as a paid add-on on Elite and Enterprise.
- Agent access differs. Hootsuite runs MCP servers for publishing, inbox, listening and advocacy. We found no official Sendible MCP server; Zapier's Sendible MCP offers four actions.
- Postprism costs less than both at every setup in our cost table: $19 for one brand on all 6 networks, $49 for three brands with approvals, $99 for ten.

Pricing compared
Sendible pricing (checked October 2026)
Sendible sells five plans, each defined by how many workspaces you get. A workspace is "a dedicated space for organising and scheduling content, with its own profiles, messages, reports, and queues", and each one includes 6 social profiles. Every plan includes unlimited users and unlimited scheduling, and paying yearly saves 15%.
| Sendible plan | Workspaces (profiles) | Monthly | Per month, billed yearly | Extra workspace |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Core | 1 (6) | $35 | $29.75 | $35 a month |
| Plus | 3 (18) | $99 | $84.15 | $30 a month |
| Premium | 7 (42) | $199 | $169.15 | $25 a month |
| Elite | 15 (90) | $299 | $254.15 | $20 a month |
| Enterprise | 50 (300) | $750 | $637.50 | $15 a month |
What moves you up a tier is usually a feature rather than a workspace. Assignment and approvals are listed on the Plus plan card. Custom branded reports, PDF reports and automatically emailed reports are listed from Premium. Advanced user permissions and the white label add-on sit on Elite. Sendible also caps how many posts each workspace can send per day: 100 on Core, 200 on Plus, 300 on Premium and 500 on Elite and Enterprise. Source: Sendible pricing and feature breakdown.
Hootsuite pricing (checked October 2026)
Hootsuite sells seats. Its plans page lists Standard at $99, Professional at $199 and Advanced at $399 per user a month, billed annually and before tax, with Enterprise priced on request. Hootsuite's FAQ says monthly billing is also available at a higher per-user rate, but the page does not show that rate, so we use the annual prices.
| Hootsuite plan | Per user a month, billed annually | Social accounts | What it adds |
|---|---|---|---|
| Standard | $99 | 10 | Publishing, calendar, inbox, 7-day Quick Search, benchmarking against 5 competitors, ads publishing, 100 AI credits a month |
| Professional | $199 | Unlimited | Inbox automations and DM automations, 30-day Quick Search and trend forecasting, custom and scheduled reports, 20 competitors |
| Advanced | $399 | Unlimited | Post approval workflows, internal comments, message assignment and routing, external report email, logo on reports |
| Enterprise | Custom | Unlimited | Advanced listening (Lumen), Lumen MCP connector, employee advocacy, SSO, compliance and Salesforce integrations |

What real teams pay
The two pricing models diverge fast once you add people. The table compares monthly list prices for common setups, with Postprism alongside. Sendible figures are monthly billing; Hootsuite figures are its annual-billing rate per month, because that is the only rate its page publishes.
| Setup | Sendible | Hootsuite | Postprism |
|---|---|---|---|
| 1 person, 1 brand, 5 networks | $35 (Core) | $99 (Standard) | $19 (Solo) |
| 3 people, 3 brands, with approvals | $99 (Plus) | $1,197 (Advanced, 3 seats) | $49 (Freelancer) |
| 5 people, 10 brands, with approvals | $274 (Premium plus 3 workspaces at $25) | $1,995 (Advanced, 5 seats) | $99 (Agency) |
| 10 people, 10 brands, with approvals | $274 (Premium plus 3 workspaces) | $3,990 (Advanced, 10 seats) | $99 (Agency) |
Two things stand out. First, Sendible beats Hootsuite at every size we tried, often by a factor of five or more, because adding a person on Sendible costs nothing. Second, Hootsuite's approval workflow only exists on its most expensive self-serve plan, so any team that needs a second pair of eyes on posts pays $399 per person. Hootsuite's price does buy more: listening, ads management, inbox routing and mobile apps that Sendible's pricing page does not match. The question is whether you will use them.
One honest note on Sendible: a workspace includes 6 social profiles, so a brand that posts to more than six networks uses more than one workspace's worth of profiles. Check how your accounts map to workspaces before you pick a tier. Postprism counts it the other way round: each workspace connects one account per network, all 6 included, so one brand on every network stays $19. See Postprism pricing.
Feature by feature
1. Publishing and networks
Both tools publish to the networks most teams use. Sendible lists Instagram (posts, Reels, Stories and carousels on Professional accounts), Facebook Pages (photos and videos), TikTok (business and personal accounts, with thumbnail picking and duet, stitch and comment settings), X, LinkedIn profiles and Company Pages, Google My Business, YouTube, WordPress, Threads and Bluesky. It also has smart queues, repeating posts with start and end dates, an RSS auto-poster, a Chrome extension and a calendar you can drag posts around and export as a PDF.
Hootsuite lists Instagram (photos, Reels, carousels and Stories), Facebook, TikTok, YouTube, X, LinkedIn, Threads, Pinterest (public, private and shared boards), Bluesky and Google My Business on its social network integrations page. Its calendar exports to CSV or PDF, its plans include recommended times to publish, and its Bulk Composer takes up to 350 posts in one CSV.
Who wins: close. Hootsuite covers Pinterest, which is not on Sendible's network list. Sendible covers WordPress and has the more agency-friendly queue and recycling tools. If Pinterest matters, that settles it for Hootsuite.
2. AI writing
Sendible's AI Assist generates content and captions, rephrases copy and checks spelling, with unlimited AI credits on every plan. You then tailor copy, tags, hashtags and visuals for each network in one view.
Hootsuite's Wisdom AI generates captions for every network, repurposes top-performing posts, creates holiday content, refines tone and length, fixes grammar and suggests hashtags. Self-serve plans include 100 AI credits a month; Enterprise is custom.
Who wins: Hootsuite has the broader AI feature list; Sendible has no credit cap. Both help you write a post and then tailor it per network. Postprism's Enhance with AI takes a different approach, returning a separate, editable version for every selected network from one request (more below).
3. Analytics and reporting
Sendible includes 8 pre-built reports on every plan, including a Google Analytics report and an engagement report covering audience growth, optimal posting times, engaged users and top content. From Premium you get a report builder with custom branding on the cover page, PDF export, reports emailed to clients on a schedule and live share links. This is built for agencies that send a report to every client each month.
Hootsuite includes report templates, post performance reports, industry benchmarking, competitor benchmarking (5 competitors on Standard, 20 from Professional) and best-time charts for seven networks on every plan. Custom reports, PDF and PowerPoint export and scheduled email reports start on Professional; CSV and XLSX export, a logo on reports and sending reports to an external email start on Advanced.
Who wins: Hootsuite for analysis and benchmarking, Sendible for client-facing reports. An agency that emails branded reports to clients gets there for $199 a month on Sendible Premium; the equivalent external email delivery on Hootsuite needs Advanced seats.
4. Team and approvals
Sendible includes unlimited users on every plan, so you can invite clients, freelancers and stakeholders without a seat fee. Its feature breakdown lists client dashboards (clients only see their own dashboard to preview and approve content), Client Connect (clients connect their profiles without sharing passwords), assigning posts for approval and custom approval workflows that force junior staff to get approval on every post. The plan cards place "Assignment & approvals" on Plus, and advanced user permissions on Elite.
Hootsuite sells seats, and every Hootsuite plan includes user access permissions. Post approval workflows, internal comments and suspending scheduled posts are listed on Advanced and Enterprise only, at $399 per user a month on Advanced.
Who wins: Sendible, clearly. Unlimited users plus approvals from $99 a month is a far better deal for client work than approvals at $399 a seat. For more on setting up a review step, see our guide to the social media approval workflow.
5. Inbox, listening and ads
Sendible includes monitoring and replying on every plan: a Priority Inbox that pulls together engagement likely to need a response, plus individual streams for real-time comments and messages. It covers Instagram comments and DMs, Facebook comments on posts and ads, LinkedIn Page comments and YouTube comments.
Hootsuite is much deeper here. Every plan includes a centralised inbox with saved replies, notes, inbox search, message masking and cross-channel history, plus Quick Search listening, sentiment analysis and ads publishing, analytics and campaign management for Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn and X. Professional adds automated replies, DM automations and AI smart replies. Advanced adds message assignment, skill-based routing and team productivity reporting. Enterprise adds Lumen listening across 13 months of data. WhatsApp messages also come into the Hootsuite inbox.
Who wins: Hootsuite. If customer care, listening or paid social is part of the job, this is the main reason to pay its seat price.
6. API, MCP and AI agents
Sendible: we found no official Sendible MCP server and no public API documentation on sendible.com. Zapier offers a Sendible MCP connection with four actions: approve draft post, create queued post, create scheduled post and delete post. Sendible also lists a Zapier integration and a share button you can embed in your own site or app.
Hootsuite: its MCP page lists servers for Perch (drafting, scheduling and reviewing performance), Nest (inbox triage), Lumen (listening) and Parliament (employee advocacy), with pre-built connectors for ChatGPT and Claude. The page does not say which plans include each server; the plans table lists the Lumen MCP connector on Enterprise only. Hootsuite also has a REST API that needs an approved developer account, and its Publishing API does not support TikTok, YouTube or Bluesky.
Who wins: Hootsuite. It has first-party MCP servers and a documented API; Sendible relies on Zapier.
7. Mobile and ease of use
Hootsuite has iPhone, iPad and Android apps for scheduling, drafting and replying to or assigning messages. Sendible's pricing page mentions mobile push notifications for posts it cannot auto-publish, but does not list a mobile app, so we do not claim one. On ease of use, Sendible's dashboard comes in eleven languages and its workspace model maps neatly onto clients. Hootsuite's breadth is its strength and its learning curve: Perch, Nest, Lumen and Wisdom are four products under one login.
8. Free trial
Both offer 14-day free trials. Hootsuite's trial accounts have a daily limit of 10 to 20 posts per organisation, and bulk scheduling is not available until you pay.
Who should choose Sendible
- Agencies with many clients and stakeholders who want unlimited users on every plan.
- Teams that need approvals, client dashboards and Client Connect without paying per seat.
- Agencies that email branded reports to clients every month, or want to resell the platform under their own brand with the white label add-on.
- Multi-location brands that post to Google My Business, or publishers who push blog updates to WordPress.
- Teams that recycle evergreen posts on repeat with smart queues.
Who should choose Hootsuite
- In-house social teams that run customer care from a shared inbox with routing and automations.
- Brands that need social listening, trend forecasting and competitor benchmarking in the same tool.
- Teams running paid social on Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn and X alongside organic posts.
- Anyone who needs Pinterest publishing or iOS and Android apps.
- Larger organisations that need SSO, compliance integrations and Salesforce on an Enterprise contract.
A third option: Postprism
Sendible and Hootsuite both assume you want a full management suite: inbox, listening or white-label reporting on top of the scheduler. Plenty of teams do not. A founder posting one brand, a freelancer with three clients or a small agency with ten mostly needs to write good posts, get the right version onto each network, get sign-off and publish on time. For that job, Postprism is the better fit, at a flat price that does not count users or channels.
- One brand on all 6 networks for $19. Postprism publishes to LinkedIn profiles and Company Pages, X (single posts with up to 4 images), TikTok (video and photo), YouTube (full uploads with title, tags, playlist and thumbnail), Bluesky and Pinterest (image Pins). Solo is $19 a month, Freelancer $49 and Agency $99, with unlimited posts on every plan and a 7-day free trial.
- Approvals from $49, not $99 or $399 a seat. Freelancer gives you 3 members and 3 workspaces; Agency gives you 10 of each. Roles are Owner, Admin, Editor and Viewer, and on both plans an Owner or Admin approves posts or asks for changes before they go out. See team collaboration.
- Every network's version from one AI request. Write once and click Enhance with AI. One request returns a separate, editable version for every network you selected, shaped by the brand identity you set up: a fuller LinkedIn post, a short X post, a TikTok caption. Plans include 150, 500 or 2,000 adaptations a month. See AI content adaptation.
- An MCP server on every plan. Postprism's own MCP server gives Claude, ChatGPT, Cursor and other MCP clients 11 tools to list workspaces and platforms, upload media, create and edit posts and read analytics, from Solo up, with no Zapier account in between. The REST API is included on Freelancer and Agency. See AI agents.
- Bulk Upload on every plan. Upload a CSV with
content,scheduled_atand optionalmedia_urlcolumns, up to 200 rows and 2 MB per file, or describe a schedule to the AI Scheduling Assistant. See bulk scheduling. - Analytics on every plan. Impressions, reach, clicks, engagement rate and top posts over 30, 60 or 90 days, with CSV export on Agency.
| Postprism | Sendible | Hootsuite | |

If a shared inbox, listening, ads or white-label reporting is the centre of your job, the sections above show which of Sendible or Hootsuite fits. If you mostly plan, write and publish, compare the details on our head-to-head pages: Postprism vs Sendible and Postprism vs Hootsuite. How to decide in five questions
- How many people need a login? If the answer includes clients and freelancers, per-seat pricing gets expensive quickly; Sendible and Postprism do not charge per head the way Hootsuite does.
- Do you answer messages all day? If customer care is a core job, Hootsuite's inbox and routing justify the price. If you reply occasionally, you are paying for a suite you will not use.
- Do clients expect a branded monthly report? That points to Sendible Premium or above.
- Do you need listening or paid ads in the same tool? That points to Hootsuite.
- Is the real work writing and publishing? Then compare the cost of each tool at your number of brands and people, and look at how much rewriting each network still needs. That is where Postprism's flat price and per-network AI versions save the most time and money.
The verdict
Sendible is the better value agency platform: unlimited users, approvals from $99, branded and emailed reports from $199 and a white label option, priced by workspace. Hootsuite is the better all-in-one for in-house teams that need listening, ads, a deep inbox, Pinterest and mobile apps, and it charges for that with $99 to $399 per user. For teams that mainly plan, write and publish one to ten brands across many networks, Postprism beats both on price and on how much writing it saves: $19 for one brand on all 6 networks, approvals from $49, every network's version from one Enhance with AI request and an MCP server on every plan.
