Things to know
- TikTok asks creators to review every post before it goes to their profile. A TikTok post created or changed through the API or MCP is saved as a draft, and the response includes a
notice. The creator opens it in Postprism, chooses who can see it and schedules it. - With
"postMode": "MEDIA_UPLOAD"no review is needed: the post goes to the creator’s TikTok inbox at the scheduled time, and they finish and post it in the TikTok app. TikTok allows 5 pending drafts per creator in 24 hours. - It can take a few minutes for a post to process and appear on the profile.
Settings
Optional TikTok options go in platform_content.tiktok.settings. Invalid values are rejected when you create or update the post, with a message naming the field.
